Hi guys. Sorry to use English. I'm just rebuilding my block and I'm wanting to change out the gearbox bearings. What tool do I need to pull the small roller bearing out of the case?

You mean the one you cant get out from the other side ?

There are special tools for that or you can use bread.
Or i was told anyway, didnt try it yet.
You put some bread in the roller bearing and some metal part which fits in the bearing like a cap or something and than you tap with a hammer on it, more bread, repeat and repeat and it should come out.

Bread wont work with the rollerbearing. I got out by welding a nut in it, heating the aluminium up and extracting it with a bolt.

Yes that's the bearing I mean. I may just have to leave it

I haven't changed that one myself, but cant you Heat the bearing up, jam a large Bolt in there, let IT cool off to shrink the bearing, Heat the engine casing and try to pul the bearing out with the Bolt?

I think you mean a bearing you can't hammer out? if so i think the tool is called a ''blind bearing puller'' i don't know if you meant that.

to be honest, its worth the try for just €35, i dont think you'll need it more then 1 time, atleast i cant imagine another use for myself for it. any professional set is triple the price so for a cheap china set its in my opinion worth a shot.

Yep that's it, you never konw what you might use it for but a cheap set will work for this.
